- All students born on or after January 1, 1957 and enrolled half-time (Undergraduate: 6 quarter hours, Graduate: 4 quarter hours, Professional: 6 semester hours, Non-Degree Seeking: 6 quarter hours)
What happens if I don't submit my records?
Illinois law requires that DePaul prevent you from further registration until
your record is complete.
I submitted my records, why did I receive an email message?
You have received an email because you submitted incomplete immunization records to DePaul University. Please
check your immunization status in Campus Connection if you have not already done so. If you have checked your grid
and need further clarification, please see details below.
1. Missing Immunization Information
You have receieved an email because you submitted incomplete immunization records to DePaul University. Please check your immunization status in Campus Connection if you have not already done so. If you have checked your grid and need further clarification, please see details below.
- If your grid reads Complete – your status is complete for this specific inoculation.
- If your grid reads Incomplete/Expired for
- Tetanus / Diphtheria – these
inoculations expire 10 years after the date you had
them. You may need to receive an updated vaccination.
- Measles – you must show proof of
two doses of this inoculation and you may have only
submitted one. You will need to receive an additional
vaccination to complete your status.
- If your grid reads Unknown – we have
not received any information on this particular
inoculation. You are required to supply additional records
to complete your immunization status.
2. Immunization Status Update Email
You have received an email because:
- You submitted complete immunization records and your hold has been removed.
- Your enrollment status has changed and you are now exempt.
- Distance Learning – you have enrolled in all distance learning courses for this term
and are not required to submit immunization records.
- Less Than Half Time – you have enrolled in less than half time quarter hours (or have
dropped below half time) and are not required to submit
your immunization records.
3. Expired Immunization Status
You have received an email because one or more of your inoculations or exemptions have become expired. Please
check the following possible expirations.
- Tetanus / Diphtheria – this inoculation expires every 10 years. Your TD inoculation may have become expired,
and you will need to submit proof of having received a more recent vaccination to complete your immunization
status.
- Measles – if you have only submitted proof of one Measles inoculation it has expired after 30 days.
Illinois state law requires DePaul University to have two (2) measles inoculations on file for all students.
You will need to submit proof of an additional inoculation to complete your immunization status.
- Pregnancy Exemption – if you have submitted a pregnancy exemption to us, it has expired after 2 years
from the date it was submitted. You will need to submit complete immunization records at this time.
- Distance Learning Exemption – if you were exempt from the immunization requirement last term because of
full distance learning enrollment, your exemption has now become expired. If you intend on enrolling in only
distance learning classes next term, you may disregard this email as your registration will not be blocked.
However, if you enroll in any classes on a DePaul campus, you will be required to submit complete
immunization records.
- Less Than Half Time Exemption – if you were exempt from the immunization requirement last term because of less than half time enrollment, your exemption has now become expired. If you intend on enrolling at a less
than half time status next term, you may disregard this email as your registration will not be blocked.
However, if you enroll at half time or greater status, you will be required to submit complete immunization
records.
