Under Illinois State Law there are a few exemptions to the immunizations
requirement, but documentation must be provided that you qualify:
Additional Exemptions
- Distance learning students are exempt. Note: this exemption expires at the end of each term and is reapplied
as long as student remains distance learning status.
- Students enrolled less than half time are also exempt. This exemption expires at the end of each term, and is reapplied automatically as long as the student maintains less than half time status. Less than half time enrollment is defined as:
- Undergraduate students – less than 6 quarter hours
- Graduate students – less than 4 quarter hours
- Professional students – less than 6 semester hours
- Students in certificate programs (i.e. IPD, CPA Review, etc.) are required to comply with immunization
regulations UNLESS:
- you are only here for one term (this can be a quarter or a semester, depending on your program)
- your class meets for less than half time on a weekly basis
- your class does not meet on a DePaul University campus location
