Students are expected to apply for graduation online through Campus Connection to formally signal their intention to receive their degree after a particular term. Submitting this on-line application begins the formal conferral process, but does not guarantee awarding of the degree by DePaul University.
The prospective graduate's earned credits are evaluated in relation to their specific degree requirements by the college office and Student Records; at the end of the completion term indicated. If al requirements are met, the degree will be conferred within 30 days of the end of the term. Diplomas are mailed directly to graduates from the Student Records office; all financial obligations to university must be resolved before the diploma is mailed.
DePaul reports degree conferral information to the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) monthly. Many companies and agencies use the NSC service to verify awarded degrees. Prospective graduates should review their privacy settings in Campus Connection before the end of their anticipated graduation term, since the NSC may only verify a degree if the privacy settings at the time of graduation designate that it is releasable information.
